Hi All, The one thing that is driving me mad about blogging is that we don

This is the weirdest toilet/bathroom we have ever come across - from the hotel in Chester.- I don't have to tell you do I - there was an official function on with squads of police and more rollers than you could wish for - never mind there will be more castles to look at.

Off to Chester and the strangest place we have stayed so far. The hotel was run by a family from Libya. Our room was huge but there was hardly any furniture in it, just twin beds and a chair for the inbuilt dressing table. The real killer was the toilet-cum-shower - it was straight out of a second class overnight sleeper onboard a British Rail train. It was perched in the corner of the room and when you opened the door you had to step up into a completely selfcontained plastic tardis [see photo]. The photo hardly does it justice - we laughed like drains when we saw it! It was increadibly difficult to use and a real danger when exiting the module. I recon the owner bought a job lot from one of his muzza mates who worked for British Rail, it's what you would expect from Del Boy and Rodney [Only Fools and Horses]. Chester itself is lovely Here we are frozen together on our trip around Lake Ullswater on a little steam boat - just beautiful.heaps of movies - Batmobiles, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Delorian from Back to the Future, KIT from Nightrider, 2 cars from Fast & Furious, Lady Penelopy's rolls royce from Thunderbirds and lots of others - well worth a look. Had a very relaxing afternoon cruising on lake Ullswater in a little steam ferry - beautiful, beautiful place - the lake district is just glorious. Going to the local brewery tomorrow and to the Derwent pencil museum then on to Carlisle and Hadrians Wall tomorrow. www.hysjw.cn

Have just about got rid of the huge bruise on my thigh - got jabbed in the leg by one of those triangular turnstyles when we were in London and came up in a bruise the size of a saucer with a big haematoma in the middle - black as your hat!! I was quite worried about flying when it was at it's worst but have been taking an asprin before I fly - still glad it's almost gone, it's been quite sore when I walk and there has been plenty of that over the last couple of weeks. We're both well, a bit sunburned after being on the water and my R knee is

giving me jip - kept me awake last night - other than that we're fit as fleas.

That's it folks - look for the next installment in a couple of days...................
Love to you all,
Dee & Steve xxxx
